Young Visionaries Fellowship Grants
Make Your Impact On The World!
If you landed here, then you want to make an impact in either your community or the world - and want to apply for a $1,000 grant to help you do just that.
Believe in a Dream will select 5 young people from Northeast Indiana to receive Young Visionaries Fellowship Grants in 2019. Two of the awards will be made to students (or student teams) in high school. Three will be open to anyone 25 years old or younger.
The purpose of the Fellowship is to encourage young people to exercise their entrepreneurial skills to make an impact on either their community (their school, neighborhood, city, or region) or maybe even the entire world! Some people believe entrepreneurship is just about making money. Not us! We know that it can be used for making the world a better place. and we think that some of you agree with us.
Awards will be made in early July, in time for you to do some project work before another school year starts (if you are in school, that is). Recipients will also be recognized at the 2019 Pave the Path Young Leaders Summit in the Fall.
Applications are open now - but close on June 1, 2019!
You can apply today. But, before you do, please take some time to think through your project (or business) a bit. We will make our selections based on these criteria. Our assessment will take into account four key attributes.
IMPACT - The impact your project or business would make in the community or the world.
TEAM - Your team’s ability to get the job done.
TRACTION - Your achievements so far with the project or business.
BANG FOR THE BUCK - How much of the project or business you could accomplish with $1,000.
Here’s a tip. Read the application questions below, go think through and edit your answers in a word processor so you portray your project or business in the very best light, then cut and paste your answers into the application form.
First, look at the basic requirements.
Are high school age to 25 years old?
Do you live in one of the 11 Northeast Indiana counties: Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, Kosciusko, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wabash, Wells, or Whitley?
Does your project or business idea use your team’s entrepreneurial skills to do more than just make money - by making a positive impact in your community or the world?
If you meet the requirements, apply right here!
Not all applicants can be winners. If you are selected as a finalist, we will contact you to meet for an in person interview. Otherwise, we will provide you some written feedback about how to prepare for next year’s entry.
All entrepreneurship skills you develop are important to your future. We’d urge you to find a way to make your dream project or business happen, regardless of whether you receive a grant or not!
Thanks for applying!
